Abstract

The ideal leadership character in Islamic education is grounded in the integration of spiritual, moral, and professional qualities that guide leaders in managing and transforming educational institutions. In an era of rapid change and increasing global competition, Islamic educational leaders are expected to demonstrate visionary thinking, integrity, justice, and the ability to empower teachers, students, and the school community. This study highlights the essential components of Islamic leadership, such as amanah, honesty, discipline, compassion, and the principle of shura (consultation), as foundational values that shape effective decision-making and foster a harmonious learning environment. By strengthening these leadership traits, Islamic educational institutions can enhance the quality of teaching and learning while preserving core Islamic principles. The ideal Islamic leadership model is therefore not only administrative but also transformative, aiming to develop holistic human potential and support the mission of forming individuals with strong character, knowledge, and faith.
