Economic Analysis of Community Forest Processed Wood as a Producer of Industrial Raw Materials in Beraban Village, Parigi Moutong Regency

Abstract

Community forests have significant potential in the national forest management arena. This program is designed to empower the community by directly involving them through partnerships with various groups. This community service program aims to develop community knowledge and skills in understanding the meaning and importance of community forest management, the benefits of community forests and community forest management, tree species selection, and how to process trunks to be used as industrial raw materials so that the resulting model is in line with trends and has high selling value. This program will be implemented in Beraban Village, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi. This activity involves a partner group, namely the "People's Forest" community group consisting of 20 people. The process of this community service program is carried out in the form of counseling and training, which includes 1. Counseling: a). Provision of material on understanding community forests; b). Selection of suitable tree species for planting; c). Wood processing. 2. Technical Training: a). Sawing Technique Training b). Wood Cutting Technique Training, Wood Drying Techniques, and Wood Preservation Techniques. The non-technical training encompasses the marketing of outcomes, the management of entrepreneurship, and the fortification of group structures. The results of this community service program are very helpful for the community in increasing their knowledge and skills in determining the type and quality of wood and knowing the feasibility of selling prices according to financial analysis.
